Genesis 28 & 32
A God Who Gives Himself (Genesis 28 & 32)

God is a God who comes to us and gives of himself that we might be in intimate relationship with him. He is a God of love, communication, and newness – a God who makes himself known to us. The Lord's dealings with Jacob of old is a prime example of God seeking us out and drawing us to himself. Jacob is both a deceiver and a conniver yet God patiently draws him forward into a relationship of partnership and love. So God gives himself to us so that we might discover our true selves and find the fundamental meaning of our lives.
