The history of human civilization is one wrought with war, violence, division, envy and strife. Of course there is also much beauty and love but the presence of evil can not be denied. Daniels dream in chapter 7 reminds us that the course of humanity is ultimately one of hope and goodness because God's loving presence as the Ancient of Days is greater than the imprint of evil. Not only that the coming of the Son of Man (fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus) demonstrates what humanity looks like when operating at its maximum capacity.
