Acts 16:11-34

As we continue through the season of Pentecost, we note that it is a time of inclusion, justice, and freedom for all. The Spirit is in the business of creating a new humanity of God where "there is no longer Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for all are one in Christ Jesus" (Gal 3:28). Such a calling is a lofty one and often resisted even within the confines of the Christian community. Nevertheless, the directive is clear that the Church is to be a people of inclusion and acceptance where everyone's gifts are cherished and celebrated.
