WHAT IS BELIEVER'S BAPTISM?
Believer’s baptism simply means that you are old enough to make and independent profession of your faith. You should consider baptism if you have a strong desire to work on your relationship with Jesus and are ready to commit to this spiritual journey.  

 

WHY IS BAPTISM IMPORTANT?
Baptism is a powerful symbol that signifies the washing away of sin, the start of new life in Jesus, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. As well, we know that Jesus himself was baptized and has called us to follow suit and baptize one another (Matthew 28:19-20). It is a sign of our union with Jesus through which we can identify with His death and resurrection (Ref: CBOQ).

 

WHEN DOES BAPTISM TAKE PLACE?
Baptisms take place as needed during a special Sunday service.

 

WHO DO YOU REACH OUT TO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING BAPTIZED?
You can reach out to anyone that you see in a leadership role that you may know (Usher, Worship Leader, etc). They will then point you towards the pastoral or deacons’ team who can help to establish next steps.

 

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BECOMING BAPTIZED?

  1. Fill out a Baptism request form.     Baptism Application
  2. A member of the Pastoral team will be in touch to connect and talk about your personal testimony. Part of this meeting with be educational to ensure you feel ready for this step in your life.
  3. Baptism is then scheduled for an upcoming Sunday service.
